Sends me to steam VR home

I am using the oculus quest 2 and I use airlink. I can get into the menu and I select the chapter and click start new game and it loads for a little while and then the loading icon changes to steam vr home and sends me there. I checked my desktop while this happens and saw that the game completely closes when this happens. Any idea why this is going on?
