Can't leave Nova Prospekt

I killed the antlion queen, put a table next to the ledge to escape the crushing walls, walked past the fire and killed the headcrab, and fell down into a pit with an opening leading out... into nowhere. I think there is supposed to be a level load when you jump into the pit, but it didn't happen.
